RESULTS:  To date more than $6,500 has been given, and books have been distributed to Ft. Hood, Ft. Carson, and T.A.P.S. (an outreach to survivors).

One Thousand six hundred  and eight books donated to Families.

  •   Will you Go to Prison with by His design?

by His design is going into various prisons in Colorado to share the "How to LIVE with a Broken Heart, Lessons in Loss" Workshop, as well as a discipleship Bible study entitled I AM, An Unchanging God in a World of Change, which uses the book Beth wrote using Jesus' "I Am" statements in the Gospel of John, in the context of suffering. We are finding this material resonates with offenders and want to provide books to prisoners. They do not have the wherewithal to purchase these, so HEROES, our non-profit, is standing in that gap.

RESULTS: by His design has partnered with Prison Fellowship and is teaching in their Transformational Ministry Program to inmates scheduled for release.  PF has included this resource in all their curriculum world-wide. We have been ministering at the Colorado Department of Corrections since 2010..

by His design has spent 2,152 hours in prison teaching hope to prisoners.
  • Sending by His design to Eastern Europe and Turkey, (partnering with New Hope Int'l.)

Human Trafficking Prevention:  Going to orphanages in Moldova with a program that gives information on human trafficking to orphans at risk.  Moldova is the second most targeted area for the sex trade and the harvesting of body parts in the world.

Human Trafficking Restoration:  Purchasing and delivering sewing machines to a woman (and her children) victimized by human trafficking.  by His design would like to aid a woman who was abducted while traveling to Russia to seek employment.  She lived three years in bondage to her captors and was rescued about a year ago by the Russian Special Forces.  She was able to save two of the four children that she birthed there for body parts.  She also left two children at home in the care of her husband before this event.  He has deserted them.  She is trained as a tailor, and by giving her two sewing machines and material to get her started in a cottage industry, this gift would enable her to take care of her family.  The cost of this is $918.38.

Orphan Christmas Packages:  Since the collapse of the Socialist Soviet Republic, Moldova, still a Communist country, has lost its economy and the unemployment rate is 60%.  As a result, families have become fractured and children, with parents still living or not, are being housed in orphanages.  by His design wants to visit the outlying orphanages that don't get much contact and bring the children needed supplies-- shampoo, soap, and a few other items.

Workshop Training for Ministry Leaders in Moldova and Turkey:  We will present a full-day Workshop, "How to LIVE with a Broken Heart, Lessons in Loss" in churches in both countries for ministry leaders and others to offer help in this oppressed area of the world.  Moldova is subject to loss on many levels, and Turkish Christians are persecuted.

Visiting Village Churches throughout Moldova and Transnistia to do discipleship training for anyone interested--church leaders and area residents (some traveling all day to attend this three-day event).

Teaching in Churches and Small Group Bible Studies:  We've been invited to bring messages of hope and healing to local worship services, as well as men's and women's groups.  This opportunity will allow more people, than are available for an all-day event, to hear what the Bible says about loss and God's plan of redemption.

RESULTS:  Human Trafficking Prevention & Restoration achieved. The sewing machine project was accomplished!  The orphan Christmas packages were delivered, with an additional bonus of partnering with a women's group in Arlington, VA, that included handmade scarves for each child!  Three Workshops were presented in addition to  numerous teaching opportunities, along with other means of personal aid were realized.

BP USA (Bereaved Parents USA) at their annual conference held throughout the country. by His design was one of very few Christian presentations. The response to our approach was gratifying (July 2011).

Twelve Full-day Workshops were held throughout the United States of America.

Nine books have been written and published to aid those looking for hope after a devastating loss.

Three workshops in disaster area – giving hope when all was lost.

Donated online workshop to anyone needing to take it through the summer of 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado (Black Forrest Fire).

Deployed by Billy Graham's Rapid Response Team, in partnership with Samaritan's Purse to Colorado Springs, CO when the Waldo Canyon fire destroyed an entire neighborhood in the urban area, as well as forest service property . This time was especially trying since we've lived in this area over thirty years and knew so many affected.

Gold Star Weekend Retreats, sponsored by Blue Star Moms – by His design presented all our materials to the group numbering hundreds of family members of fallen military personnel.

Partnered with TAPS - Annual TAPS National Military Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp

by His design in partnership with Samaritan's Purse offered training for ministry leaders in Haiti in the post-earthquake region.
